The Gilleners staff would like to wish a very happy birthday to this amazing actor!
It's hard to believe he turned fifty today! He's still as handsome as ever. We hope you had an amazing day, Aidan!

As some of you might already know, today, January 4, 2018, HBO confirmed that the 8th and final season of their hit show, 'Game of Thrones' will return in 2019, but an exact date has not been announced yet.
If you're all caught up, you know that Aidan Gillen will not be returning to reprise his role as Petyr Baelish, much to our disappointment. ? Will you still be watching the show? And so, the wait continues... Photo Edit made by @hiswolfhermockingbird on Instagram. Hello fellow Aidan Gillen fans,
With 2017 almost behind us, I'm sure most of us will agree, it has been one incredible year filled with so much Aidan Gillen news, photos, and videos! From Petyr Baelish's heartwrenching and untimely death on Game of Thrones season 7, to finding out Aidan would star in History's Blue Book, to Aberama Gold's first appearance on season 4 of Peaky Blinders, just to name a few. 2017 was a great year to be a 'gillener'. 😉 Let's hope 2018 treats us to many more Aidan Gillen updates! Have a happy New Year, everyone! 🎊 The Gilleners Staff If you’ve found this page, it’s because you are at least somewhat interested in the irresistible charm that is the Irish actor Aidan Gillen. Let me commend you for your good taste! Perhaps you are a long-time fan or just in the early stages of discovery, but wherever you are, it is a good place to be – you’ve either got a large portion of his fantastic filmography under your belt, with a selection of favourites, or you have an incredible journey of film exploration ahead of you.
So, who are the Gilleners, you may be wondering? Well, the other day I read an article in the Guardian that shared stories of how people’s lives had been changed by finding their “tribe” – in particular, by finding an online community of people who had the same interests or shared the same problems. It is one of the internet’s greatest successes that individuals with an apparently rare experience can go online and find out that they, after all, are not alone, and engage in meaningful discussions and friendships with others who have experienced the same thing. The article had stories from people who discovered online groups for everything from specific health conditions to having a love of hamsters, but really the story is the same: sometimes, the people who you meet online, though you’ve never met them in person, become exactly what you needed. Who would have thought an enduring love for an actor would be my “thing”. Perhaps it wasn’t entirely unpredictable, as I’d already admired a fair number of actors from across film and television. But somehow, inexplicably, it happened… and one summer I stumbled across a group of people on social media who amazingly felt the same. It is a thrilling feeling, to have people to talk to who are just as excited as you, who will recommend their favourite films and have late night discussions about plot points and characters… but soon we began discussing other things as well, other shared interests, world issues, and life. And that’s how the idea for this website was born. We wanted a place where people could come together over a shared interest, but also be a part of a community. Social media is wonderful, for so many reasons, but can be challenging too – maybe you don’t want to make an account, the pressure of posting and followers is too intimidating, or the sheer volume of posts is too overwhelming to keep on top of. We want this website to be your one-stop shop for Aidan-related material, and for you to engage with at whatever level fits your needs best. So here’s a bit of what you’ll find on our site:
We hope that you will enjoy visiting and participating on our site, and will keep coming back as it grows! This is an idea that we’ve had simmering for a while and we’re really excited to finally share it with all of you. Welcome to the tribe. |
